Color Dare 197 badge

I really like these color combination but was perplexed on what to create.  I went to Pinterest for inspiration.  I stumbled on this card which was my inspiration.  I then went to my Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to create my background. I used #M3CEA5 Circle stars and using the slice and weld tools combined it with #M42EB0 Rectangle frame.

Are you ready to see a few more gift tags??  Here are a couple more that I designed for the Craft Fair.

Merry Christmas!!

Happy Holidays!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful time with family and friend celebrating the holidays.  I want to thank all of you who follow and read my blog!  I love sharing my artwork with you and love when you leave feed back.  I have one last card to share with you for the holiday.

Deer card ~ merry Christmas ~ catscrapbooking.com

I saw a version of this card on Pinterest which is from Peppermint Patty’s Papercraft and knew it was one I needed to do.  I love this deer from Lawn Fawn In the woods, it is so precious and using the Lawn Fawn die it makes it easy to cut it out – no fussing cutting!  I knew that I wanted to emboss the snowflakes and when I went to do that some of the embossing powder stuck to the trees which made it look like snow.  It was a happy accident.

Suplies used:

  • Non CTMH Stamp sets ~ Lawn Fawn – In the Woods and Figgy Pudding – Basic Gray.
  • CTMH Stamp Sets ~ Perfect fit Holidays, Shredding the Slopes, Best Christmas, Merry Merry and Frosted WOTG
  • Inks ~ Ruby, Ponderosa pine, and Momento ink
  • Embossing ~ Versamark ink and white embossing powder
  • Markers ~ Copic and Shin Han

Happy holidays and a wonderful new year!

Color Dare #111

I was so happy to be crafting again since the move, that I could not resist participating in this weeks Color Dare # 111 which features Cranberry, Sorbet, Olive, Lagoon and Pacifica.

Color Dare #111 colors

I was feeling very inspired by Pinterest these days as while my craft room was in transit from Washington to Colorado, I had to at least dream about doing something creative.  I have to admit I love my Lawn Fawn stamp sets – Into the Woods and Critters in the Forest.  I am a sucker for cute foxes so that was the major draw.   I don’t always get to use these stamp sets as I am usually working with my  Close to My Heart stamp sets.  But I saw a card on Pinterest and knew I needed to lift it.  It was originally designed by Melinia Deasy but I changed some of the animals and colors.

I used my Silhouette to design the card frame, then just popped it up with CTMHs new thin foam tape. I used the dies that coordinate with The Lawn Fawn -In the Woods set to cut the fox, skunk and deer.  I had to hand cut the porcupine.  I used my Shin Han markers to color the critters – I am really loving these markers.

Here is the full list of supplies used:

  • Cardstock ~ Slate, Cranberry, Lagoon, Olive, Pacifica & Sorbet
  • Stamp Sets ~ LF – In the Woods & Critters in the Forest, CTMH – Babycakes WOTG (for party hats) & Belated Birthday B1442
  • Embellishments ~ Black and Grey Sparkle assortments Z1754

Cute Critters

I stumbled on a stamp set which was love at first sight.  If you know me then you know I love most things that are animal related but when it involves foxes, moose or wolves my interest is really peaked.   I saw this adorable fox and knew I needed to have this Lawn Fawn stamp set called In the Woods.  I will drop a hint that if you like foxes then you will LOVE February’s Stamp of the Month with Close to my Heart stay tunes for details next month. Also if you like wildlife then there is another must have stamp set in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 Idea book.

Lawn Fawn cards Fox Thank you

For this card I used one Frosted paper for the background with Chocolate, Topiary, Black and Desert Sand cardstock. I also used neutral bakers twine, brown and tan sparkles.    I used an wood grain embossing folder to crate the wood look.

Lawn Fawn Skunk Thank You Card

There was also this adorable skunk stamp.  I used washi tape and the In the Woods cordinating paper pack to crate this card.  I did use one of the petite perks stamp sets for the sentiment and my Cricut to cut the sentiment label.

Lawn Fawn Thank you cards

Happy Crafting!
