So the flower pot is cut using the Flower Market Cartridge.  I modified it by adding a cut line to allow the White Daisy cardstock to be inserted.  If you are interested in my cut file you can find it HERE.

I used Nectarine cardstock for the pot with the lighter side for the rim.  The flowers were cut using the Stitched Flower Thin Cuts.  I used Smoothie and Fern cardstock and Sweet Girl paper pack.  I used the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts for the tag and used the Wild and Punny Stamp Set for the “thanks”.  I also used the White Burlap Ribbon and Rose Sequins.

Heart 2 Heart ~ Favorite Sketch

Welcome to another weekly challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

This challenge is to use your favorite sketch.  This sketch could be for a card, a layout or anything.  Close to My Heart has wonderful idea books with fantastic sketches for both cards and layouts.  I chose to do a scrapbook layout and used the Make It From Your Heart Volume 3. I selected pattern 34 for my layout and used the So Much Happy paper pack.

There is a cool farm in  Longmont, CO that we discovered soon after moving to Colorado, called the Sunflower Farm.  This layout are photos from our second trip to the farm.

I used my Cricut and the Flower Market Cartridge to cut the sunflowers. I used both sides of the lemon cardstock for the sunflowers.  I also used Lagoon cardstock to mat the photos.  I also used Linen cardstock to create the tittle block.  I know it is really hard to see but I used white watercolor paint to splatter the Linen cardstock and I added a stitched look by using a white gel pen.

I used the So Much Happy complements and the So Much Happy Puffies for details along with elements from the cut-apart paper. I also could not resist using the Dandelion Wishes stamp with the photo so my son with the dandelion. I used white embossing powder on vellum for the flower then fussy cut.

Now it is your time to give it a try and link it to the HEART 2 HEART Challenge. You have until April 30th to participate in this challenge. We love to see your inspirations!!

Paste-fully Creative – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 18 of us highlighting our new Texture Paste.  The texture paste can be use in so many ways to add dimension to your projects, I am sure you and I are going to learn all sorts of fun thing with this hop.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KIMBERLY BOWERS BLOG, you are on the right track!

I am loving this texture paste!! While I have seen lots of examples of using an overlay with more of a geometric take, I wanted to play around with other types of overlays.  I stumbled on the Lilac image from Flower Market Cartridge and was inspired.

I was pleased the way it turned out.  The first layer I used combined the texture paste with Gypsy re-inker as I realized I did not have Pansy.  The second layer the texture paste is combined with Thistle.  I then cut the leaves and stem out of Fern Cardstock. I used the Bunches of Love stamp set and then added the bow using the New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon.

Here you can see the layers better.  I topped the flowers off with the Bitty Sparkles.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto VALERIE KAPSHA’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting the Masking!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

I so love our glitter paper as it cuts so beautifully with our cricut cartridges. I decided to create a holiday card based off one I had pinned, you can see it here.

All of the images are from the Flower Market Cartridge.  The “Peace” is using Aeolus font. I added some more glitter by using our Shimmer Brush on the poinsettia. I added a little gold glitter gem to the center of my poinsettia. Here is a close up of the poinsettia.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying you holiday season!  I know this has been a busy holiday for me and I have not been able to get into my craft room as much as I want.  In fact it has been way less than I have hoped.  The new year is around the corner and I hope to make a few changes there.

I have one final gift card holder to share with you.

If you missed my last couple of post I have showcased a couple of gift card holders. This one is my favorite. It features the poinsettia from the new Flower Market Cartridge.  I paired it with Rustic Home paper pack.

thoughtful-flowers-december-sotm-catscrapbooking-comI chose one of the vases form Flower Market and cut it in Gold Glitter Paper.  Then cut a banner from Artistry.  The background paper is Whimsy Fundamentals.  Here is the same card but I added the Glaicier twine bow – not sure which one I like better….
