CTMH Technique Blog Hop ~ Thin Cuts Craze

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 8 of us highlighting THIN CUTS CRAZE. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from SARAH DEVENDORF BLOG, you are on the right track!

I just got the adorable Tree Line Border Thin Cuts so I knew I wanted to play with them.

I cut the full length version of the Tree Line Border for the top layer and stamped the sentiment in Sapphire ink from Silver & Gold Cardmaking stamp set. I then used the partial tree line to piece together two parts to make the back layer. I then added some clear and bitty sparkles.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto ANNEMARIE JULIAN’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!

A Feathery Thank You

I needed to create some thank you cards for a couple guys so I found some time to create.  I decided to go with a neutral pallet and pulled a few of my retired items. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.

I used the Rustic Home Fundamental for the paper on the right and the word paper if from retired Florence. The bronze glitter paper is retired as are the gems.  I found this ribbon in my stash.  The feathers are from Artisty.

Since we are approaching spring break for a lot of people and many will head to the beach, I was inspired to use the Swirly Shells.

For this card I used Colonial White cardstock for the background.  I then took Sea Glass, Chrystal Blue and Glacier to make the water side.  I created the sand look with Dessert Sands, Champagne and Cashmere using a sponge.  I then watercolored the shells.  I used Sea Glass glitter paper and Kraft cardstock.

Happy Birthday ~ Create Kindness Friend ~ Happy ~ CatScrapbooking.comI masked off the “friend” and then stamped the flowers on a strip.  I love coloring with the Shin Han Markers.  I used the new thin cuts to cut the “happy” out of Glacier and added a birthday from Finding Words D1646.
