Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying you holiday season!  I know this has been a busy holiday for me and I have not been able to get into my craft room as much as I want.  In fact it has been way less than I have hoped.  The new year is around the corner and I hope to make a few changes there.

I have one final gift card holder to share with you.

If you missed my last couple of post I have showcased a couple of gift card holders. This one is my favorite. It features the poinsettia from the new Flower Market Cartridge.  I paired it with Rustic Home paper pack.

Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting!

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ Letter Y

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “Y”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Y” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from LAUREN MOORE’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

So for my “Y” I chose Yuletide which is an archaic term for Christmas. So I went with a Christmas card.  I have been wanting to use the Wreath Thin Cut so I thought this would be the prefect opportunity.

abcs-y-yuletide-wreath-christmas-cheer-catscrapbooking-comI wanted the wreath to pop a bit more so I tried rolling the stamp in Fern and New England Ivy before I stamped it.  It looked good but I wanted more color so I decided to color my leaves!

Now it is time to hop on over to JENIFER BENNER’S BLOG and see what she has created for you today.

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ Letter U

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “U”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “U” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from DARLYS RECKER’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

The letter U can be a bit UNIQUE in coming UP with design ideas.  So I am going with the UNIQUE factor.  When you watercolor each design is UNIQUE.  So I have a single design using different papers and two different stamps.

natures-wish-moose-elk-catscrapbooking-comHere they are individually.

natures-wish-moose-guy-birthday-card-catscrapbooking-com natures-wish-elk-guy-birthday-woodgrain-catscrapbooking-comFor these two I used Kraft cardstock and the new woodgrain embossing folder.  I then took bamboo ink to one and Champagne ink to the other and ran my ink pad over the raised surface.

Personal Layout Challenge ~ #33

I managed to get this layout completed before I left town but did not manage to get it posted.  Well I guess a day late is better than never, right?   Rustic Home ~ Emerald ~ Train layout ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is a fun layout using Rustic Home and the new Emerald color.  I also used the new Rustic Home ribbon which is so fun.  If you notice the ribbon on the left that is what it looks like when it comes to you but you can separate it and use the individual pieces to look like twine, see the smoke from the train and around the journaling.

Layout # 32 of My Personal Challenge

I got a little off last week and was not able to get a layout completed.  I am back on track this week with another layout. I got to play with some of the new goodies from the new Annual Inspirations Idea book.

Concerts ~ Rustic Home ~ stars thin cuts ~ Overlay frames ~ CatScrapbooking.comI designed this layout with using a flip flap to hold the other tickets.  I am actually using a 4×4 flip flap to hold our other concert tickets. Here is what it looks like. I had not put it in a protective sleeve because of the glare for the photo so you can sort of see the white strip.

Concerts 2 ~ Rustic Home ~ Stars Thin Cuts ~ Frame Overlay ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this layout I used the following products:

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #207 we are challenging you to combine SAFFRON, CANARY, GOLD,  and WHITE DAISY.

Color Dare #207 badge

These colors totally remind me of sunshine and sunflowers.  I remember seeing a really cool sunflower on the new Flower Market Cartridge so that is where I went for inspirations.

Color Dare #207 ~ Flower Market ~ Sending Sunshine ~ CatScrapbooking.comI used the Rustic Home paper pack which comes with this great gold stripped velum.  I added a little gold glitter paper on the flower and the white and gold ribbon.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #207 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday August 25, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.
