Everything ABC’s ~ W

Welcome to the Everything ABC Blog Hop!

ABC's Blog HopFor this hop we will be featuring the letter “W”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “W” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from LAUREN MOORE’S Blog then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on LAUREN’s blog HERE.

If you follow my blog then you know I have designed a WREATH WITH WHITE Pines.  I so love the way this one turned out and plan to make one more like the one I designed with the Scaredy Cat paper.  I plan to make it a larger like that one and only with the B&T paper.  But here is this one with the White Pines and Cranberry.

Cone Wreath ~ White Pines ~ ABC's W ~ CatScrapbooking.comThe holly is cut from the new Artistry Cartridge on page 48. The rosette and doily are from the Artiste Cartridges.  The holly balls are from a floral piece I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  The cones are 5″ x 5″ for the first layer and the second is 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″.  The finished wreath is about 13 inches in diameter.

Now it is time to hop on over to DARLYS RECKER’S Blog and see what she has created for you today.

Scaredy Cat Wreath

I can’t believe Halloween is tomorrow and as much as I wanted to design another Halloween layout, card or home decor, I  have run out of time.  So I decided to show how versatile seasonal paper packs can be.   Just because something is labeled as Halloween does not mean it is it only purpose.

I used last years Scaredy Cat paper pack to design this really cool wreath using cones. Dahlia Wreath ~ Cone Wreath ~ Scardy Cat ~ CatScrapbooking.comTo make this wreath I cut 4″ x4″ squares for the outer three rings then reduced the size to 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and the inner most ring is 3″ x 3″.  I then created the cones and hot glued them to an ~ 11″ circle of scrap mat board. The center is a Whisper cardstock cut from Artiste #M41354 then the Colonial White is just a 2.84″ circle.  The doily is cut from Artiste also #M41354  cut at 2.71″ high in Sunset.  The finished wreath size is about 19″ in diameter. I love this Dahlia style wreath and designed another one which I will share with you next Saturday so be sure to check back.

Happy Crafting!
