Color Dare #285 ~ Bashful, Pebble, and Raspberry

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #285 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these CTMH Colors: BASHFUL, PEBBLE,  and RASPBERRY.  You are able to use neutrals – Black and White in your design. You can check out the rules HERE.

I had a few of these flowers and butterflies already sitting on my desk from my Spring Banner I created which you can see HERE. I decided to use them to represent the Bashful.  Then I looked for Raspberry and found the Raspberry fundamental paper.

For this card I wanted to soften the Raspberry so I used a velum as an overlay.  I added Bashful glitter paper behind the sentiment.  I used both sides of the pebble to the darker for the base and the lighter for the sentiment.  I also used second generation Raspberry ink for the sentiment.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #285 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday. April 5, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Everything ABC Blog Hop ~ Letter Q

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “Q”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Q” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from LAUREN MOORE’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

The letter Q is a tricky one to craft with so I took a short cut so to speak.  I use some of the Cricut cuts found on the “Q” page (pg 11) in the new Flower Market handbook.  On this page is a cool jar and Sweat Pea flower.  So here is my card.

Everything ABC's Q ~ Q key on Flower Market ~ Rustic Home ~ Raspberry & Blossom ~ Sea Glass ~ CatScrapbooking.comI used the following products:

Fun with the Color of the Year ~ Sea Glass

I was playing around with the new Color of the Year ~ Sea Glass.  I love that we have the glitter paper to match.  Here is what I designed:

Sea Glass ~ Safari Ballet ~ CatScrapbooking.comI mixed the watercolors to make the sea glass background.  I watercolored each hippo and then once they were dry I went over their bows and two of the tu-tus with the new shimmer brush.  I then cut one tu-tu shape from the glitter paper.

Here are the list of supplies used:
