Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ Letter Z

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “Z”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Z” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from JODI BREWSTER’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

The letter “Z” is another one of those difficult letters.  Thankfully CTMH has these wonderful things called ZIPSTRIPS on the top of all of our pattern papers.  It just worked out beautifully as I needed to make gift card holders and the ZIPSTRIPS work as the band. Take a look….

gift-card-holder-catscrapbooking-comI used the one of the glacier papers from the Whimsy Fundamentals and added the Zipstrip from City Sidewalks Paper pack.  I also just love this snowman and the coordinating thin cuts from Cozy Christmas.

Now it is time to hop on over to JENIFER BENNER’S BLOG  and see what she has created for you today.

This month we are featuring Thin Cuts!!  I love these metal dies!!!  They make stamping and cutting unique shapes a breeze.  If you just hopped onto my blog or arrived from MICHELLE LONCAR’S Blog then you are in the right place.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork.

I needed to make something fun for the gift cards for my nieces and nephews.  So why not create something fun. Here is what I came up with.

gift-card-holder-wonderland-wishes-city-sidewalks-catscrapbooking-comFor this one I used the City Sidewalks paper pack and the Woodland Wishes Thin Cut Bundle.  I used the Sea Glass Glitter paper to make the band and Glacier cardstock for the snowflakes which I embossed in White.

With this gift card holder I used the Rustic Home Fundamental Papers and Cozy Christmas Thin Cut Bundle. I added some sparkle with the Red Shimmer trim as the band.

flower-market-pretty-poinsettia-citysidewalk-catscrapbooking-comFor both of these cards I used the City Sidewalks Paper pack.  The sentiment comes from the Christmas Down Under stamp set.  I actually made a mistake when I cut the poinsettias, I had planned to cut on white cardstock and then stamp in Cranberry.  However I was not thinking so I grabbed Cranberry cardstock.  So instead of tossing them I decided to stamp the Pretty Poinsettia with VersaMark and use white embossing powder.  I actually love the way it turned out.

Your next stop is along this hop is MELISSA ROBINSON’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.
