This month we are featuring the Kissing Technique! Have you heard of this technique?? Well the way it works is you ink up one stamp then take a second stamp with no ink and touch or kiss the inked stamp. The result is a pattern on the stamp image. If you just hopped onto my blog or arrived from WENDY KESSLER’S Blog then you are in the right place. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork.
I haven not used this technique a lot but have tried it a couple of times. Decided to make those adorable balloon animals in this months stamp of the month have a pattern. Check it out…
You can see that the Elephant and Horse have polka-dots. I inked up the elephant then using the cluster of dots from the Balloon Animals stamp set I randomly stamped the inked elephant stamping the dots off on a piece of scratch paper between each “kiss”. Then once the entire elephant was random stamped, I then stamped the elephant. I repeated the process for the horse too.
