Roxybonds Blog Hop ~ Buzz & Bumble / Claire

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

 Roxybonds Scrappers

We will be featuring artwork from the Buzz & Bumble Pack and/or Claire.  I chose to work with the Buzz & Bumble paper pack.

If you have come here from Stephanie’s Blog, then you are on the right path.  Your next stop will be Emma’s Blog.

I really like this paper back as the colors are more in the neutral earth tons but you can definitely pop them with color.  I love neutral colors when scrapbooking as is allows me to really showcase my photos. I am particularly fond of the way Goldrush and Creme Brulee looks with these papers.

Buzz & Bumble Blog Hop

For this layout I used my Silhouette to cut the honeycomb border, title and honeycombs.  I used the Workshop on the Go stamp set and the Honeycomb stamp set. I used Cocoa, Goldrush, Champange, and Colonial white cardstock to complement the Buzz and Bumble paper pack. I also used on of the adorable wax seals from the buzz and bumble assortment over the rosette.

Here are a couple of cards I designed using this paper pack.

Buzz & bumble card

This is a variation of the card I designed for Mojo Monday two weeks ago.  This card is part of my May Card Workshop.Sweet as honey Card

CTMH – Roxybond Scrappers Team Blog Hop – Chantilly

Welcome to Roxybond Scrappers Team Blog Hop!!

Roxybonds Scrappers

We are featuring some of the new product lines from the Spring/Summer 2013 catalog.  This month we are showcasing the Chantilly paper line.

If you have come from Jen’s blog then you are on the right path. Your next stop with be Tess’s Blog.  This paper pack is so bright and colorful!  It has been fun and easy to create with this paper pack.  For this blog hop I created a layout and some cards.

Finished page kit 2 - Version 2

For this layout I used the Chantilly paper pack, Twilight, Sweat Leaf, Buttercup, Cotton Candy and Daisy White Cardstock.  I also used the Pink Glitter Gems and the Chantilly WOTG stamp set.  The inks I used were Twilight, Buttercup and Cotton Candy.

Happy thoughts Card 4 - Version 2

For this card I used my Silhouette to actually cut the shape of the leafs and flower – no more fussy cutting here!!!  I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set with Cotton Candy and Sweet leaf inks.  I then went back over the flower with Stickles to give the glitter look. I also used and embossing folder to emboss the Cotton Candy cardstock. I am becoming addicted (just like everything else with paper crafts)  to Washi tape  which is what I used to in the middle of the card.

Chantilly Iris Fold card 1 - Version 2

Iris fold cards are so much fun and such a neat way to bring color to a design.  I used my Silhouette to cut the dragonfly then used Chantilly paper strips along with another pink scrap I had to make the wings. The sentiment was stamped in Cotton Candy using For Every Occasion stamp set.

Chantilly Happy Birthday 4 - Version 3

I have to admit Pinterest is a great place to find inspiration and ever scrap-lift. I was always told that scrap-lifting is the best form of flattery.  Well I took my inspiration from a card that was made by Christine Adams.  I used Pear, Twighlight, Cotton Candy and Daisy White Cardstock.  To cut the Cotton Candy scalloped circles, I used a Spellbinders die.  I used my 1 1/4″ circle punch for the circles and then used the Chantilly WOTG and Perfect Fit- Birthday stamp sets.

I hope you enjoyed these creations and if you need to pick you any supplies you can find most of them on here on my CTMH website. Now hop on over to Tess blog and check out her wonderful creations!!

Later Sk8r Layout

As I mentioned on the Roxybond Scrappers blog hop, I really love the Later Sk8r paper pack and all the accessories.  It may be due to the fact I have a little boy and love to scrapbook him.  I designed the following layout which was inspired by the layout shown in the Spring/Summer 2013 catalog on page 47.  I love all the gears and the way the paper was cut on the layout.  I really had a fun time creating this layout and was very happy with the way it turned out.

Gavin's Later Sk8r layout 7 - Version 2

I used my Silhouette to cut the paper, title and all the gears.  I was even able to design the gears so they would fit with the In Gear stamp set. For this project I used the following CTMH product:

  • Later Sk8r Paper Pack (X7167B)
  • Slate Card Stock
  • Outdoor Denim Card Stock
  • Lagoon Card Stock
  • Pear Card Stock
  • Daisy White Card Stock
  • Fast and Furious Stamp Set (d1541)
  • In Gear Stamp Set (B1415)
  • Later Sk8r Workshop On the Go Stamp Set
  • Later Sk8r Assortment (z1810)
  • Green &  Blue Epoxy Bubbles (z1806)
  • Slate Ink
  • Lagoon Ink
  • Outdoor Denim Ink
  • Black Embossing Powder
  • Clear Embossing Powder

CTMH – Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop – For Always

Welcome to Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

Roxybonds Scrappers

This are now featuring artwork from the Spring / Sumer 2013 catalog and this month we will be showcasing the For Always Papers.

If you have come her from Stephanie’s Blog then you are in the right spot.  Unfortunately we are the only two participating this month. I hope you enjoy the creations.

For Always page kit 4 - Version 3 For this two page layout I use Ruby and Whisper cardstock in conjunction with the For Always paper.  I love the new fabrics that match this line.  I used them to create the flowers. I also love the new black assorted buttons they have a bit of glitter to them.

I also created a couple of cards using the Happy Couple stamp set

Feb card workshop 1 - Version 2

Feb card workshop 2 - Version 2

This is a penny slider card. I love creating cards with movement.

If you are starting here please hop on over to Stephanie’s blog to see her wonderful creations.

Side Step Card

There are so many really neat cards designs out there.  I recently stumbled on the side step card design and knew I needed to try one. So with my husbands birthday coming (actually to day), I figure this would be the perfect opportunity.  Here is my interpretation of the side step card.

Mike's Birthday Card 13 - Version 2

I thought this type of card would be something my husband could put on his desk.  So I wanted to make sure to include a photo.  The original side step card design I saw started with an 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2 ” base but I wanted it to be a bit bigger.  So I redesigned it using an 11″ x 7 ‘ base, that way it would accommodate a 3″ x 4″ photo. The base is outdoor denim card stock by CTMH. I then used Basic Grey – Oliver collection for the pattern paper and embellishments.  I did use an aqua blue and deep red card stock which matches the Oliver collection.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the large gear. Then using CTMH Perfect Fit Birthday stamp set, I slightly curved the stamps and used Barn Red CTMH ink. I wanted to be able to put a note to wish a happy birthday so I made a pocket to accommodate a tag using Daisy white card stock.

Embossed Resist Technique

Check out this really cool technique!  I could not wait to try it.  So I designed one of the Birthday workshop cards useing this technique.
http://youtu.be/Z8rGj0BmLds

For my card I used my Silhouette to cut out the card base in creme brûlée.  I also used the Silhouette to cut the circle and leaves for the card. I then used the “It’s your day” stamp set to emboss the 3/4 inch colonial white strip with clear embossing powder.  I then took a dauber and applied ink to the strip.  In this design I used one of the retired inks, garden green.   I also used some CTMH creme brulee flowers with white brads in the center. The sentiment is one of the new stamp sets from the new catalog which goes live February 1st, the stamp set is from the Chantilly card workshop on the go.

Resist Circle Card 1 - Version 2

CTMH – Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop – Pear & Partridge

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop

Roxybonds Scrappers

We will be featuring artwork from the Pear & Partridge Paper Pack.

If you have come from Stephanie’s Blog then you are on the right path. Your next stop will be Jen’s Blog.

I had a lot of fun with this paper pack and was able to create several different items.  The holidays are always so busy but it was a lot of fun being creative.

Pear & Partridge scrapbook pg 4 - Version 2

For the ornaments I used the demential elements ornaments and also used my Silhouette to cut out some of the other ornaments. I then used silver embossing powder to make the silver caps on the ornaments and bakers twine for the bows and hangers.

Happy HolidaysI really like the technique of using second generation stamping.  I wanted my sentiment to stand out so I stamped it once in cranberry then using cocoa second generation to repeated it over the base of the card adding a pattern to the Colonial card stock.

IMG_0921 - Version 2

I made this for a demonstration at a craft day. I really like the way it turned out and since I had a few extra, I plan to use them as place settings at Christmas.  I love using the roll technique to use multiple ink colors on one stamped image, as with the bird.

One other project I did with the Pear and Partridge paper was design an entire album using our Bookmark Album. Here are a couple of photos of some of the pages.

November Blog Hop

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring the paper from the Dakota Paper Packet.

If you have come here from Stephanie Feist, then you are on the right path.  Your next stop will be Jen Patrick.

I really like this Dakota paper the first thing that came to mind was it was very boyish with all the blues. However, the more I started looking at it it is more rugged but since I am more of a tom boy at heart it could be used for a lot of different layouts.  I happen to have one we were on vacation with my nephews and we stopped to take photos and feed one of the horses.

For this layout I used the Wrangler Assortment and the grey wool bakers twine for accents.  I used the Barn Red, Pacifica, Whisper and black card stock  The “horsing around” was cut using my Cameo. I will offer this page as a page kit. The page kit will not include the Wrangler Assortment or the Bakers twine, but it will have the tittle cut out for you $7

I also made a second layout with the Dakota Paper. For this layout I used Whisper, Pacific, and Barn Red card stock. I also used the stamp set Rugged Dude as I love the denim pocket. I used Pacific and black ink.  For accents I used the Wrangler Assortment and the tiny black sparkles to make the rivets pop on the page. I am offering this layout as a page kit (it does not include the Wrangler Assortment, the tiny black sparkles or the tittle letters) the stamping will be done for you and the cost is $8

Now hop on over to Jen Patrick and check out her wonderful designs.

Christmas Album

Check out this adorable Christmas themed album.  This could be an easy way to get some of these wonderful Christmas photos in an album. The album could be a gift for a family member or it can become a treasured piece you display every holiday.  I designed this album as a kit for a friend who is hosting the workshop at her house. If you cannot attend or would like to purchase the kit so  you can do on your own is an option too.

To sign up for this workshop Cat must receive your order and payment by October 30th at 6 pm.  This way all the product can be ordered and you can take advantage of the October Stamp of the month, which is a Christmas stamp set.

This workshop is using the My Creations  Bookmark Album.   The album is roughly 4” x 8” with 6 different pages plus the front and back cover.  The album is made of chipboard and has a magnetic closure and 2 binder rings. We will be adding a lot of embellishments to this album so you will learn how to modify this album to accommodate that.

Basic Kit:

The kit will include the Bookmark Album, the larger binder rings, Cranberry bakers twine, brads, ribbon to embellish.  The paper to be include will be half of the Pear & Partridge paper pack which will include one of each of the pattern papers shown here and one sheet of Olive, Cranberry, Cashmere, and Desert Sand cardstock.  You will also receive the velvet rub-ons and directions for $27 (this includes tax and shipping)

There are also several add ons which were used including Just Bloom Flowers and Buttons.  If you wish to put the kit together on your one you will need to purchase a few additional items.  All of the following stamp sets were used in creating the album:

– Merry and Bright

– The stamp set from the WOTG Pear and Partridge scrapbook kit

– October’s Stamp of the Month

– Inks: Desert Sands, Cranberry, Black and Olive

If you are interested in purchasing the kit please contact me as I do have some options to offer you the best pricing. The kit will come with colored photos and instructions on how to assemble.
