Color Dare #287 ~ Blossom, Silver & Bashful

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #287 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these CTMH Colors: BLOSSOM, SILVER (optional),  and BASHFUL.  You are able to use neutrals – Black and White in your design. You can check out the rules HERE.

I am not a pink person so this is out side my comfort zone so to speak LOL!  Here is what I came up with…

So I decided to keep it simple with an embossed background and touches of pink.  I used the silver foil to back my thank you.  I found a cool butterfly on my Cricut as part of my subscription.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #287 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday. April 19, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Feeling Foxy!!

Okay I may have to admit I have an addiction…. and it is to this cute critter, a fox!!! I have been purchasing any and all (or at least almost all) fox stamp sets.  I recently saw this cute set by Honey Bee Stamps and fell head over heals in love!

I have been coloring foxes and making cards about 30 all together.

Here is what all the cards look like and then I will show them in smaller groupings.  I made multiple of the same patterns.

That is a lot of foxes!!

I only did a few with this fox, so I guess I know what I will be doing soon…

I liked the blue with the orange of the fox.

I even add some sequences to these as well.

Here is the last group:

Thank you for checking out my cute foxes!

Think Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the Think Pink Blog Hop!

Today you will be hopping with the same talented consultants who bring you the Stamp of the Month blog hop.  Today we are featuring artwork which showcases some of the pink products are part of February’s special.

If you are just arriving here from MELINDA EVERITT’S Blog, or just starting at my blog then you are on the right track ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 16 consultants participating so you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I love the mobile idea that Close to My Heart came up with using the pinks.  It inspired me to make a Spring Home Decor.  I have made one for Fall and Summer so it was time for a “Spring” one.  Here is how it turned out.

I know it is hard to see the detail in this photo so her is a close up of two of the letters.

For this project I used 4×4 burlap tiles that I purchased about 2 years ago.  I used Bashful cardstock along with a bit of the pixie cardstock (for the base layer of the butterflies).  I wanted a bit of pattern paper so the Gimme Some Sugar pattern paper was perfect. I used the same cricut cuts for my flowers and butterflies.  I also used the Bashful Pearls for the center of the flowers. I wanted to add a bit of shimmer so I used the Bashful Shimmer Brush.

Your next stop is along this hop is MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

In Love with Velum Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 10 of us highlighting our wonderful VELLUM Paper. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from REBECCA COOMBS’ BLOG, you are on the right track!

I decided I wanted to play around with the vellum a bit.  I broke out my watercolor pencils and colored on a piece of vellum with some blues and greens.

I then took one of my water brushes and then blended the colors.

Then I used my black Momento ink to stamp the butterflies.  I will make the recommendation to try to flatten the vellum before trying to stamp so that you get a cleaner stamped image.  Here is how my card turned out.

I decided to water color the white behind the butterflies a bit.  I love the Chelsea Gardens paper pack. So I will use every opportunity to use it and those wonderful Chelsea Garden Gems & Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto DANIELLE WAGNER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!
