Hello and welcome to our CTMH Featured Products Blog Hop. This week our featured product is Complements.  As you know for every paper pack there is a coordinating Complement pack.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop. If you came here from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog then you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

Penelope ~ Just Because ~ Chicks ~ CatScrapbooking.comI have been admiring the curtain fold cards I have been seeing and decided to give it a try.  I used Penelope paper pack and complements. If you are interested in trying the curtain fold there are many tutorial out there and I still need to play around with the size.  I started with a 3″ by 7 3/4″ strip.  I started by making a tick mark on the right side 1 1/4″ down from the top along the short side and at 2 3/4″ in along bottom left side.  Then trim at an angle connecting the two tick marks.  I then scored starting at the left at 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5″ and 6 1/8″.  This results in a 3″ by 3 3/4″ finished fold.

Here is the list of products used:

11707989_10207393099531945_1646831179381493893_oI love all the flowers on this stamp set.  So what came to mind was to make my own pattern paper with these fabulous flowers.  I chose some soft colors Glacier, Sweet Leaf and Champange paired with Zoe.

Paper Garden ~ SOTM ~ Zoe ~ catscrapbooking.comI added the sentiment on the inside of the card along with a little bit of detail.

Color Dare #126 badge I really like this color combination as it feels sophisticated.  I was originally planning to make a wedding or anniversary card but then my husband mentioned he needed a sympathy card.  So I ended up designing a sympathy card.

Snowhaven Notecard Kit

I so enjoy making things and since we are in the holiday season, one of my favorite things is to make gifts for people.  I have a few people who are a little difficult  to purchase things for, so making them a gift is the perfect solution.  This notecard kit worked our nicely for Christmas gifts for a few of the people on my list.  I designed this kit based on a design from the very talented Lisa Stenz.  She presented some absolutely beautiful artwork at the Close to My Heart Convention this summer.  You can check out her design HERE.  I actually designed this many months ago but keep forgetting to post it on my blog.  So better late than never 🙂 .

Snowhaven note cards ~ http://catscrapbooking.comThe kit includes all the material needed to complete two of each card with envelopes and the notecard box. The stamp set used is Big Hug D1584 and can be purchased separately.  I realized the Snowhaven kit is really quite versatile in that it can clearly be used for other things than just snow theme.

The new Glacier color is really a beautiful blue and complements so many colors.  Here with the black it really pops.  The flowers and leaves were all cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.   I did ink the edges of the flowers and pinched them to give them more texture and depth.

Snowhaven note card 3 ~ http://catscrapbooking.com

Snowhaven note card 2 ~ http://catscrapbooking.comThis card is really neat as the lower part with the flowers swings open.  This gives you plenty of room to write your note.

I did change this card a tiny bit for the kits.  Since I do the embossing for you, when you purchase a kit there will be a 3/4 inch non embossed area where the sentiment goes so you will be able to add your sentiment.

Snowhaven Notecard Kit $20 plus shipping includes:

  • My Creations Journaling Cards Box
  • 43 Cricut flowers
  • 12 Cricut leaves
  • 2 Snowhaven Pattern papers
  • 2 Glacier Cardstock
  • Precut Daisy White Cardstock
  • 6 Daisy White Envelopes
  • 4 Daisy White Card Bases
  • 2 Daisy White Embossed Card pieces
  • Clear Assortment Sparkles
  • Cutting Guide with photos
