Regatta Pinwheels

I love the colors in the Regatta paper pack and though they would make awesome pinwheels.  I love pinwheels and have been eyeballing the We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel Punch Board.  I finally used a coupon and purchased it.  I also purchased the attachments to make the pinwheels.  I so love how this turned out.

Will you be my Valentine???

I made some simple valentine’s for my son’s class. I found on Pinterest a printable Lego Starwars figure and you insert a glow bracelet. Here is the PIN.  My son loved them but then said he wanted to give valentines to some of his friends in the neighborhood.  So I picked up some Dove chocolate hearts and made these adorable arrows.  I cannot take credit for them as one of my fellow consultants Keeley Kirwan made them and posted on Facebook.  They have been on my mind so now I had an excuse to make them.

Valentine Dove Arrows ~ Charming Cheverons ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor the Girl version I used Pixie, Smoothie, Hollyhock and Ruby.  For the Boy version I used Crystal Blue, Sapphire and Cranberry (the lighter red is second generation Cranberry).  I used the Charming Chevrons A1150 and Holiday Tags D1560 stamp sets. Along with Silver Foil Tape Z3031.

5746b11f-080a-4fef-b07b-3dfbb70306c2I have been having so much fun decorating and organizing my 2016 planner.  I wanted to share with you a couple things you can do to your planner.  Lets start with adding a pocket folder.   I ordered the My Crush Everyday Life Pages Z3210 as I was curious to see how I could incorporate them into my planner.  They are pretty cool and a great addition to the planner but would be great if you are interested in creating an album.  Here is how I used the pages to make a pocket folder.

Planner Pocket ~ CatScrapbooking.comIsn’t this a great feature?  And now I will show you how easy this is to make.  Plus if you make it to the end you will get to see my cute animal clips which are hiding in this photo.

Planner Pocket step 1 ~ CatScrapbooking.comThis is taking one of those My Crush Everyday Life Pages Z3210 and cutting it in half.  Then Making a tick mark at 2″ from bottom on short side and 3 1/4″ along the top long side. Planner Pocket Step 2 ~ CatScrapbooking.comI then used those two tick marks and put on my score board.  I scored a straight line between those tick marks. Planner Pocket Step 3 ~ CatScrapbooking.com

I used the new Limeade Washi Tape Z3198, the pink washi to be exact to attach the two halves to form the pocket. ****UPDATE ****** I recommend using a wider Washi tape as the seam does pop up a bit with the thin washi.Planner Pocket Step 4 ~ CatScrapbooking.comFront view.

Planner Pocket Step 5 ~ CatScrapbooking.comUsing Score tape I ran a strip along the bottom of each pocket.  This will be adhered to the pocket page. Planner Pocket Step 6 ~ CatScrapbooking.comNow are you ready to see those adorable critters??  Well I saw on Facebook and Instagram an adorable critter clip by Michele Rowley.  When I saw here I knew I needed to make some of these and here they are.

Believe Shadow Box

So one of our fellow Close to My Heart consultants Michelle Snyder, designed this fabulous layout in our Colonial White Shadow Box as a Operation Smile fundraiser.  The response was so overwhelming that she shared her creation with her fellow convention going consultants.  I truly love this layout and will look forward to hanging it every year.

Wine Tags part 2

As promised here are the two holiday wine tags I designed.  These would be great to give as gifts to anyone on your list. If you missed my post from Monday be sure to check it out HERE as I feature two other wine tags plus links to the two I designed last year.

Winter Cheer polar bears on Ice burg wine tag ~ catscrapbooking@gmail.comI so love these cute polar bears which are wafer thin dies I got from Top Dog Dies.   I used Glacier cardstock and the Confetti Embossing folder.  I then cam back and sanded the embossed dots to look like snow.  I used our watercolors to add the shadows on the ice burg.  I used our White Glitter paper with the snowflake dies in the set. The “winter cheer” is from a retired stamp set Polar Bear Holiday.  I then added a two of the Enamel and Glitter Duo Dots.

White Pines Deer Wine Tag 1 ~ Miracle of Christmas ~ CatScrapbooking.com White Pines Deer Wine Tag 2 ~ Miracle of Christmas ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor these tags I used White Pines with the Miracle of Christmas stamp set.  I love this deer!  I stamped the deer in Momento ink then used the watercolors.  I then fussy cut the deers.  I did use the retired stamp set Polar Bear Holiday for the sentiment “Winter Cheer”.

Wine Tags Part 1

This time of year we start to think about saying thanks and giving gifts.  Yes, I know it is hard to believe Christmas will be here next month.  Well often we say thank you by bringing a bottle of wine.  So what would be better than a great wine tag.  No need for gift wrap or a fancy bag, just put one of these on and your recipient will comment on how unique it is.  Here are two tags which I designed which would be great for Thanksgiving or really any time.

Good Cheer Sangria Wine Tag ~ CatScrapbooking.com

This tag was designed using the Sangria paper pack, Thankful Heart B1463, and Harvest Wreath D1662.  I stamped the pumpkin and leaves (using a mask) with Momento ink then watercolored them.Sangria Wine Tag ~ catscrapbooking.comThis wine tag was also used with the Sangria paper and colors.  I used the White Pines Card WOTG stamp set to make the wreath using Cashmere, Pomegranate, Poppy and Fern.  I then use the “thanks” from A Thousand Thanks C1625 with Eggplant ink.

If you liked these but were thinking of making one for the Christmas Holidays then stay tuned as Wednesday I will be showing two more. You can also check out these links to ones I designed last year.

Everything ABC’s ~ X

Welcome to the Everything ABC Blog Hop!

ABC's Blog HopFor this hop we will be featuring the letter “X”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “X” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from LINDA NORMAN’S Blog then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Linda’s blog HERE.

The letter “X” is especially challenging when you are trying to thing of how it can relate to crafting so I am going to stretch it a bit.  I have been working on items for the craft fair I am participating in which is today ~ EEK.  I have been so busy preparing and hoping things will sell well as this is the first time I have done one.  Anyway, I have been working on holiday goodies and since Christmas is some times shortened to X-Mas, I am going to go with that as my “X” element.  Along with the eXcitement that has been building for this Craft Fair.  Now for my project:Animal Greetings ~ Holiday Treat Topper ~ Cat

Here is a close up of each of the animals.Moose Treat Topper ~ Animal Greetings ~ CatScrapbooking.com

Racoon Holiday Treat Topper ~ Animal Greetings ~ CatScrapbooking.com

Bear Holiday Treat topper ~ Animal Greetings ~ CatScrapbooking.com

I so love those cute little critters on the Operation Smile Stamp Set Animal Greeting D1679.  Not only is the stamp set just adorable with every stamp set sold CTMH will donate $7 to Operation Smile!!!  I wanted to make them festive for the holidays so I cut little Santa hats for them.  I did this using a SVG file with my Silhouette.  I used Momento ink to stamp the moose, raccoon and bear on the watercolor paper circles.  Then I used the watercolors to color them.  I found these 1X8″ plastic sleeves which I filled with M&M’s and tied them on using some ribbon.  I just think they are adorable and hope the shoppers do too.

Now it is time to hop on over to DONNA LONG’S Blog and see what she has created for you today.
