Easter Bunnies

So with my Cricut subscription I had seen an adorable 3D bunny ~ Dimensional Bunny #M2194511 and knew I needed to make it.  I could not just make one I needed to make a family of bunnies.

It was fun to crate these and look forward to displaying every year.

I love the mobile idea that Close to My Heart came up with using the pinks.  It inspired me to make a Spring Home Decor.  I have made one for Fall and Summer so it was time for a “Spring” one.  Here is how it turned out.

I know it is hard to see the detail in this photo so her is a close up of two of the letters.

For this project I used 4×4 burlap tiles that I purchased about 2 years ago.  I used Bashful cardstock along with a bit of the pixie cardstock (for the base layer of the butterflies).  I wanted a bit of pattern paper so the Gimme Some Sugar pattern paper was perfect. I used the same cricut cuts for my flowers and butterflies.  I also used the Bashful Pearls for the center of the flowers. I wanted to add a bit of shimmer so I used the Bashful Shimmer Brush.

Lego Birthday

So this past weekend was my son’s sixth birthday.  I love creating his invites and things for his birthday.  This year I pulled in reinforcements for the cake, a professional!!  He chose Legos as his theme.

Here is the invitation.  It was really simple to create just a hole punch and pop dots to punch the circles up. For the inside I just created in word and printed.

I knew we needed at least one game so what about pin the head on the Lego person?  I cut a bunch of Lego heads and the kids could design their own.  Then they tried to pin it on the body.

Here is with some of the heads.

It was a fun party and the kids had fun too.

January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Adore You

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!  This month we are featuring January’s stamp of the month ~Adore You (S1701) a set of 12.

If you are coming here from WENDY KESSLER’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 20 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I have been planning to design my family calendar but time has not been my friend these last few months. So needless to say I am running behind and have only completed the first 6 months. The good news is I have started and will have it done this week (I hope :-)). While I was working on it I decided to incorporate this months stamp set on April as I felt the colors would be perfect for flowers.

One thing I do when I make my calendar is I use a photo from that month the year before.  Well I forgot that it snowed for Easter last year in April so maybe I should have done snowflakes instead of flowers…. The colors still work and I am hoping for a more traditional spring day for this year’s Easter.

For the April calendar page I used the Enchantment Paper Pack and for this layout the colors are Poppy and Fern. I used my Black Archival ink to stamp the Adore You flowers.  I used Poppy ink with the Bistro Script Stamp Set.  The hearts are stamped in fern using the Way to Go Stamp Set.  I used the PML – Tabbed Journaling Cards to mat the photo.  Then it was put into a 6 X 12 Memory Protector Flip Flap.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of January and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying you holiday season!  I know this has been a busy holiday for me and I have not been able to get into my craft room as much as I want.  In fact it has been way less than I have hoped.  The new year is around the corner and I hope to make a few changes there.

I have one final gift card holder to share with you.

If you missed my last couple of post I have showcased a couple of gift card holders. This one is my favorite. It features the poinsettia from the new Flower Market Cartridge.  I paired it with Rustic Home paper pack.

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop ~ Letter Z

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!!!

ABC's Blog BadgeThis week we will be featuring the letter “Z”.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “Z” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, welcome!  If you just hopped here from JODI BREWSTER’S BLOG then you are in the right place.   The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating consultants at the bottom of this post.

The letter “Z” is another one of those difficult letters.  Thankfully CTMH has these wonderful things called ZIPSTRIPS on the top of all of our pattern papers.  It just worked out beautifully as I needed to make gift card holders and the ZIPSTRIPS work as the band. Take a look….

gift-card-holder-catscrapbooking-comI used the one of the glacier papers from the Whimsy Fundamentals and added the Zipstrip from City Sidewalks Paper pack.  I also just love this snowman and the coordinating thin cuts from Cozy Christmas.

Now it is time to hop on over to JENIFER BENNER’S BLOG  and see what she has created for you today.

Sugar Skull Wreath

I have seen a couple really awesome wreaths made using strips of pattern paper around various sized rings. I decided it was time to make my own instead of just admiring them from a far.  So this weekend I sat down and designed my Halloween Sugar Skull Wreath.

jeepers-creepers-halloween-wreath-sugar-skull-flower-market-catscrapbooking-comI am so in love with the new Flower Market and used the fun Sugar Skull #md72cd2, Halloween banner #md72c8a and Daisy #mfadcf2. I used the Jeepers Creepers paper pack with Tangerine, Whisper, Slate and Black.

jeepers-creepers-halloween-wreath-detail-sugar-skull-flower-market-catscrapbooking-comHere is a close up of the details.  I used the Enamel and Glitter Duos Blue Dots on the Sugar Skull.

jeepers-creepers-halloween-wreath-detail-flower-market-catscrapbooking-comI used the new shimmer brush to add to sparkle to the flowers. I also used liquid glass in the center of the daisy flowers.

This wreath is made by wrapping 1.5 inch by 12 inch strips around a 14 inch foam wreath.
