Layout #28 ~ Magical CTMH Convention

I realized I jumped to gun with my numbering last week and that should have been #27, so now I am on #28 :-).  Since I am still in that Convention mode and the Magical papers work well for Disney (as well as other layouts) I would get another Convention 2014 layout completed.

Magical Layout ~ Convention 2014 ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this layout I used a bit of the papers but also three of the PML Cards which are include in the paper pack.  I also used the exclusive Convention 2014 stamp set on my layout.  It is so fun reminiscing about my first convention.

Layout #28 ~ CTMH Convention 2014 Fun Run

Wow is time flying!!! I have been so busy since coming home from the 2016 Close to My Heart Convention.  My head is spinning with Ideas as I have been drooling over the new Annual Inspiration.  I managed to sneak some time in over the last two days to get a layout done so I can stay on target of a layout a week.

I decided it would be fitting to scrapbook a layout from the 2014 Close to My Heart Convention.  This was the first year that I attended convention and it was in Disneyland.  On one of the mornings CTMH organized a Fun Run which would benefit Operation Smile.  It was a 5K and went through California Adventure before the parks opened.  I have to confess I am not a pink person but for some reason I decided to purchase a pink t-shirt to wear and made a tutu.  If you know me these are totally outside of my comfort zone.  Now to top this off I used a lot of pinks on my layout 🙂

Fundamentals ~ Kaleidoscope ~ CTMH Convention 2014 ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this layout I used:

  • Kaleidoscope Paper Pack
  • Pixie and Smoothie Fundamentals
  • White Daisy Cardstock
  • Pink Glitter paper
  • White Twine
  • Pixie Twine
  • Handwritten Alphabet E1030

Layout 26 ~ Layout Contest 2016

I am now home from a fun filled week at the Close to My Heart Convention which was held in Disney World and trying to settle back into my normal routine.  So thankfully I had designed a layout before I left for convention, because life has been busy since coming back home.  Particularly with this weekend being the start of the July Fourth Celebrations.  Every year there is a layout contest for attending consultants.  I entered but unfortunately I was not one of the lucky ones.  I am still super pleased the way this layout did turn out.

Sangria ~ Florence ~ Layout Contest ~ fall layout ~ Artfully Sent ~ CatScrapbooking.comFor this layout I actually combined Sangria with Florence.  I also used the Artfully Sent Cartridge to make the overlays behind the photos.

Sangria ~ Florence ~ Layout Contest ~ fall layout Left side ~ Artfully Sent ~ CatScrapbooking.comThe splatters are done with the watercolor paints.

Sangria ~ Florence ~ Layout Contest ~ fall layout Right side ~ Artfully Sent ~ CatScrapbooking.comThe leaves are done with the rock-n-roll technique using Friend Tree D1677 and then fussy cut out.

I suspect we will have a lot of MAGICAL participants in this hop.  Close to My Heart came out with a really fun paper pack named MAGICAL which will work well for anyone who has been to Disney!!  However this paper pack can really be used for anything as it is just fun with bright primary colors (check back on my blog over the next weekend).  I have been putting off doing my Disneyland photos and finally have the motivation to complete them.  I have to admit I totally lifted this layout from Pinterest and you can see my inspiration here.  This layout also keeps me on track with my personal layout challenge and brings me to layout #24.

I have to admit I was a bit unsure about this paper pack because of all the pink… I am not a pink girl and I have a boy so not my go to color.  I decided to challenge myself anyway since it does have blues, greens and black.  Well to my surprise I have really begun to fall for this bright and cheerful paper pack.
