If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.   For this hop we have about 14 consultants participating and you are going to see some fabulous artwork.

I decided to play around with the LOVE WITH ALL THE TRIMMING stamp set as I think this stamp set is super awesome!  Not only can you use it with the Holiday Sparkle shaker cards you can also use it to create your own cards.

For my first card I decided to use my Silver embossing powder to add a sentiment in the shaker window.I also used the Silver embossing powder with the snowflakes for the LOVE WITH ALL THE TRIMMING stamp set.  I then pulled some of the stars out of my Loose Silver Sequins to add a bit more bling to my card.

I then decided to create my own card using the LOVE WITH ALL THE TRIMMING stamp set.

For this card I used the new Snowflake thin cuts.  I arranged them on my Sapphire cardstock.  I then pieced the loose pieces of the snowflake to my card so that I was actually using the negative space instead of the cut snowflakes.  I then use the new Silver Embellishing Thread with the Silver Glitter paper.  I added a couple of the white Loose Silver Sequins to my card to look like snow.

Paste-fully Creative – CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 18 of us highlighting our new Texture Paste.  The texture paste can be use in so many ways to add dimension to your projects, I am sure you and I are going to learn all sorts of fun thing with this hop.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KIMBERLY BOWERS BLOG, you are on the right track!

I am loving this texture paste!! While I have seen lots of examples of using an overlay with more of a geometric take, I wanted to play around with other types of overlays.  I stumbled on the Lilac image from Flower Market Cartridge and was inspired.

I was pleased the way it turned out.  The first layer I used combined the texture paste with Gypsy re-inker as I realized I did not have Pansy.  The second layer the texture paste is combined with Thistle.  I then cut the leaves and stem out of Fern Cardstock. I used the Bunches of Love stamp set and then added the bow using the New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon.

Here you can see the layers better.  I topped the flowers off with the Bitty Sparkles.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto VALERIE KAPSHA’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting the Masking!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

I backed the flower border with Pomegranate and then added a little Liquid Glass.  I also used the Heart Thin Cuts to cut the Saffron heart. I also added a few Gold Glitter Gems.

Pokemon Birthday

This year my son is totally into Pokemon, so of course that is the theme of his 7th birthday.  So I had fun making his invitations and Birthday card.

I purchased a couple of Pokemon SVG files so I was able to make this card.  I then used one of my dies for the red background.

For his birthday card I decided to do a pop-up card. Here is what it looked liked flattened.

And now popped up.

Here you can see Pikachu and Bulbasaur, although he is a bit hidden behind the balloons and streamers.

In this view you can see Charzard.

The birthday and party was a big success!! We officially have more Pokemon cards than we know what to do with.

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 13 of us highlighting Sewing techniques,  This can be using our dies that have stitching, stamp sets that have stitching, using pens to create stitching or using your sewing machine to create the stitched look.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from KIMBERLY BOWERS BLOG, you are on the right track!

As irony would have it I planned to used my stitched dies to crate my card; however, I cannot for the live of me find my “C” plate to my Cuttlebug.  I went to Hobby Lobby, Michaels and even Walmart but no one carries it. UGH!!!!! So what do you do improvise… I started using different pieces of cardboard to see if I could create the right size shim. Thankfully I was able to find a good combination.  Now I am just waiting on Amazon to send my my new one.

I used the new Love of Color how to book.  I used the color combination Ruby, Pebble, Peacock, and Sugarplum.  I used the love from the Artbooking Cartridge. The “you” came from Colorful Texture Stamp set.  I used the Stitched Heart thin cuts and then used my black pen to create a stitched look.
