November Stamp of the Month ~ Through the Year

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring October’s stamp of the month ~Through the Year (S1711) a set of 28.

If you are coming here from WENDY KESSLER’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 20 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I got an idea to make a card to using all the months of the year.  I could not find a stamp set to match the sentiment I had in mind so I created one.

For this card I used the basic fundamentals for the base.  I then used Linen cardstock to stamp the months of the year with Pewter ink.  I then used velum to soften the stamped Linen.  I also used Heather cardstock for the banner which I cut with the cricut and used black pen to write the sentiment.  The Love you is our silver cardstock also cut on the cricut.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of November and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Color Dare #267

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #267 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these three CTMH Colors: Saffron, Goldrush, Fern. And then use One, 2, 3 4, 5, 6 or 7 of the neutral colors (White, Charcoal, Pewter, Almond, Toffee, Nutmeg and Espresso); OR use all these colors from the “Falling For You” Paper Pack.”

With our challenges you have two weeks to participate which gives you more time and flexibility to create  – but please don’t wait for the closing date to submit your entry. Winners will be announced at the close of each challenge.

You may have noticed the new color palette layout. This was designed for better clarification of the colors. CTMH cardstock has the actual color on one side and the other side is a lighter variance of the same color.
This new palette photo will make it easier for comparison for matching colors if you don’t have CTMH Colors. Plus…the variance of the same color gives you a fair range for substituting similar colors so you can still join in all the fun.

I really love the Falling for You paper pack, so I jumped at the chance to play with it and my new Sammy the Squirrel.

I used my Shin Han markers to color him. I look forward to pairing him with this paper pack again.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #267 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday November 9, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

I sometimes forget to really look to the artwork in the idea books for inspiration.  Today I was inspired by a card on page 72 of the annual inspirations idea book.
I stared with second generation Saffron ink for the base of the bird.  Then used second generation Toffee and the third layer is Toffee.

Lego Birthday

So this past weekend was my son’s sixth birthday.  I love creating his invites and things for his birthday.  This year I pulled in reinforcements for the cake, a professional!!  He chose Legos as his theme.

Here is the invitation.  It was really simple to create just a hole punch and pop dots to punch the circles up. For the inside I just created in word and printed.

I knew we needed at least one game so what about pin the head on the Lego person?  I cut a bunch of Lego heads and the kids could design their own.  Then they tried to pin it on the body.

Here is with some of the heads.

It was a fun party and the kids had fun too.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop – Fabulous Foil

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 10 of us highlighting our FABULOUS FOIL. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from HALEY DYER BLOG, you are on the right track!

I love our heavy weight foil cardstock.  It is perfect for embossing and you can even create scored creations using your Cricut.  Here is what I created:

So I took an image from Artbooking Circle Doily. I duplicated the image then hid the contour lines so only was the outer shape.  I then hid some of the contour lines on the other and changed it to a score line image.  I then centered the two and attached them to create this cut/score file . I then used the largest circle die to cut my white circle.  I used the lagoon ink, cardstock, fundamental paper and ribbon (which are part of the Adventure collection).

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto MELISSA ROBINSON’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my creation and happy hopping!
