Purposeful Plastic Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 11 of us highlighting the Flip Flaps, and Pocket Plus Pages.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. If you are coming from DEBI MCBAINS BLOG, you are on the right track!

I love our Pocket Pages Plus but I will admit I do not use them as often as I could.  This summer my son and I planned to do a bunch of hikes and a Park Tour. Rather than creating a layout of every park we went to this summer, I would just make one layout and utilize the Pocket Plus Page.  I have not printed my photos but the layout is ready.

Here is the full layout~ I used Central Park paper pack and the layout #33 from the Make it from Your Heart Vol 3. Here are the Pocket Plus pages.

I created a list on my computer of all the parks we went to and split them over two of pockets.  I will be adding 2 photos to this side. I used all the PML cards in this paper pack to fill the Pocket Plus openings.

I will be adding journaling and notes about our different adventures once the photos are printed.

The last Pocket Plus page is this one.

I found this playground image on my Silhouette so I used it with coordinating cardstock to add to the sun ray paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto HALEY DYER’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting the Masking!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

Color Dare #305 ~ Blossom, Bashful and Eggplant

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #305 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these CTMH Colors: BLOSSOM, BASHFUL, and EGGPLANT.  You are able to use neutrals – Black, Grey, Brown, Kraft, Cream and White in your design.

I have to be honest in these pinks are not my thing so I struggle to design. I decided to use an new stamp set and die I had just gotten from Technique Tuesday.

I decided to stamp the background with second generation Blossom using the Beautiful Dragonflies Stamp Set.  I then cut the dragonfly using Build a Dragonfly Die.

I added a bit of glitter with the Bashful glitter paper and the Bashful Shimmer brush. I used the brush to add some shimmer to the “love” and the wings of the eggplant dragonfly.  You can see that better here.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #303 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday August 23, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

August Stamp of the Month ~ For the Love of Crafting

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring AUGUST’s stamp of the month ~ FOR THE LOVE OF CRAFTING (S1808) a set of 9.

If you are coming here from MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 25 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

I know I want to create a layout with this stamp set to document my love of crafting but I realized I really do not have any photos of me doing what I love.  I have snapped a few of my son who has taken to wanting to craft with me.  So I am thinking I will need to incorporate those into to it.  So for now I am going to focus on a card I was inspired to crate.

I used the masking technique to stamp the sentiments in Eggplant and Black.  I did use the coordinating Cricut cut for the larger sentiment which I cut using Bashful.  I then used my stitch guide ruler to create the stitch look around the Linen card stock.  I used the Documented paper for the background and accented it with Eggplant and Bashful cardstock.  I also used the scissors Cricut cut from You are Here cartridge.  You can find both Cricut cuts HERE.

No crafting project is complete with out a little shine so I used my liquid glass to make the hearts pop and added a few gems.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of August and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!

Your next stop is along this hop is WENDY KESSLER’S Blog, so hop on over and see what wonderful creation she has for you today.

Happy Crafting!
