Easter Cards Part 2

I thought I would share two more Easter Cards that I created this year.  I love the Easter Animals stamp set and used it to create these two cards.

For the card on the left I used the new Party Banners Thin Cut.  I used a Cricut cut for the one on the right. I did use retired pattern papers.  I also used my water colors to color the animals and backgrounds.

Happy Easter and Happy Crafting!

Easter Cards part 1

I made a couple Easter cards using my Cricut and some of the fantastic cuts that are available for Easter.  I could not decide if my son would like a chick or a bunny.  So I made both…

For both cards I used Sweet Leaf, Fern, Canary, Chocolate, Thistle, Lagoon, Goldrush, Crystal Blue, Glacier, Pacifica, Pansy, and White Daisy cardstock.  I used Pacifica ink to stamp the Happy.

Which one do you like best?  I decided to use the chocolate bunny for my son this year.

Easter Bunnies

So with my Cricut subscription I had seen an adorable 3D bunny ~ Dimensional Bunny #M2194511 and knew I needed to make it.  I could not just make one I needed to make a family of bunnies.

It was fun to crate these and look forward to displaying every year.

Feeling Foxy!!

Okay I may have to admit I have an addiction…. and it is to this cute critter, a fox!!! I have been purchasing any and all (or at least almost all) fox stamp sets.  I recently saw this cute set by Honey Bee Stamps and fell head over heals in love!

I have been coloring foxes and making cards about 30 all together.

Here is what all the cards look like and then I will show them in smaller groupings.  I made multiple of the same patterns.

That is a lot of foxes!!

I only did a few with this fox, so I guess I know what I will be doing soon…

I liked the blue with the orange of the fox.

I even add some sequences to these as well.

Here is the last group:

Thank you for checking out my cute foxes!

Color Dare #285 ~ Bashful, Pebble, and Raspberry

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #285 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these CTMH Colors: BASHFUL, PEBBLE,  and RASPBERRY.  You are able to use neutrals – Black and White in your design. You can check out the rules HERE.

I had a few of these flowers and butterflies already sitting on my desk from my Spring Banner I created which you can see HERE. I decided to use them to represent the Bashful.  Then I looked for Raspberry and found the Raspberry fundamental paper.

For this card I wanted to soften the Raspberry so I used a velum as an overlay.  I added Bashful glitter paper behind the sentiment.  I used both sides of the pebble to the darker for the base and the lighter for the sentiment.  I also used second generation Raspberry ink for the sentiment.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #285 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday. April 5, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Purposeful Patterns Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 14 of us highlighting our wonderful patterns from our awesome MAKE IT FROM THE HEART Books. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork.

If you are coming from TAMMY LUBICK’S BLOG, you are on the right track!

I chose to use Pattern 12 from the Make It From the Heart Vol 4. I decided to incorporate a technique I saw just a few days ago by Michelle Loncar and then checked out the link to learn about off the edge die cuts.  I did my own twist using Punny Pals Thin Cuts.

For my card I used the Punny Pals stamp set and the thin cuts which are available again for a limited time!!! I used Saffron as the base and then Peacock from the Enchantment Fundamental Paper Pack.  I also use Charcoal cardstock and one of the patterns form the Basic Fundamental Paper Pack.  I also used the Peacock Ribbon and Grey Gems.

Here are the steps I took to make the animal strip.

Step 1 ~ I aligned the thin cuts along the 1 1/2 ” by 5 1/2″ strip.

Step 2 ~ I made my sandwich with the “B” plate on bottom then I aligned the thin metal plate and my top “B” plate.  I made sure the top plates were where I wanted the cut image to stop.

Step 3 ~ Here is what it looked like after running through my Cuttlebug

Step 4 ~ I used my trimmer and scissors to cut between the cut animal

Here is what they looked like when I stamped them.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto SARAH DEVENDORF’S BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting the awesome patterns Close to My Heart Offers!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought and happy hopping!

March Stamp of the Month ~ Birthday Time

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we are featuring March’s stamp of the month ~Birthday Time (S1803) a set of 26.

If you are coming here from MICHELLE STEWART’S Blog, then you are in the right spot ~ Welcome!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of participating  consultants on Melinda’s blog HERE.  This month we have around 25 consultants participating this month so you are sure to be inspired.

So I am still in love and have not been able to break away from the Stargazer stamp sets so I decided to blend the Stargazer Scrapbooking set with Birthday Time.

I used a background die that I had in my stash to cut the Pacifica cardstock.  I then chose Canary cardstock to back the Pacifica. I found a flame on my Cricut Subscription which I cut and then trimmed a little to get it to fit with the space ship. I used my silver embossing power on the ship and my markers to color.  For the planets I stamped the Saturn twice once in Ruby and once in Fern.  I cut the Ruby ring out and colored it in, then pieced with the Fern Saturn. I added yellow marker to the other Ruby planet.

I decided to try another background after watching this Video.  So I used watercolor paper and our inks.

I used some washi tape to hold the Water Color paper down. I then used Sapphire ink.  I squeezed the pad together while closed so ink is put onto the top. I then wet the watercolor paper and picked up ink with my brush and painted the paper.  I then did the same thing with Lemon ink but plastered the ink.  I then took my Shimmer Brush and did the same thing as the Lemon.

So for this one I also used the Stargazer Scrapbooking stamp set Fern and Ruby Inks and bitty sparkles.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of March and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
