Blushing Background Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 13 of us highlighting our wonderful BACKGROUND STAMP SETS. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from PRISCILLA GOTHAM BLOG, you are on the right track!

I love some of our background stamps, in particular the paw prints. So of course I needed to crate something with this stamp set.

For this card I used the Faithful Friend and Paws stamp set. I chose pomegranate as the color to highlight next to the neutrals.  I used Heather Cardstock and the Basic Fundamentals.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto REBECCA COOMBS BLOG where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!

Color Dare #275 ~ Fern, Heather and Bashful

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #275 we are challenging you to use (All and Only) these CTMH Colors: FERN, HEATHER, and BASHFUL with Optional GOLD.  You are able to use neutrals – Black and White in your design. You can check out the new rules HERE

I was looking over images in my Flower Market Cricut Cartridge and saw the daffodil image and decided that would be the focus of my card. I used one of the sentiments from this month’s Stamp of the Month ~ Bloom & Grow.

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #275 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday Janurary 25, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Snowflake Layout ~ Winter Fun

Ready for another snow layout?  Here is one I did using the now retired Close to my Heart snowflake thin cut.

For this layout I used White and Sea Glass glitter paper.  It is a simple layout but I really love the way the snowflakes turned out.  I did add some white splatter to the background to look like snow.

Snow Fun Layout

I have actually been able to get a few layouts completed over the holidays.  Here is another layout completed.

For this layout I used a paper pack I had in my stash but I do not remember the name as I have been hanging on to it for about 5 years.  I did use the CTMH retired snowflake thin cuts.

For this card I used and image form the Flower Market Cartridge and cut it with Saffron and Lemon.  I used Crystal Blue for the background.  I stamped the image on the a circle and then water-colored to add color. I wanted to add some shiny so I used the gold shimmer brush on the lemon cardstock.  Here is a close up:

I also created another card using this stamp set and the Flower Market Cartridge.

For this card I cut the oval on Velum and then stamped.  I added color to the back side using my Shin Han markers.

If you love this stamp set you will want to be sure you purchase it this month as it is only available the month of January and if you spend $50 on qualifying product it could be yours for $5!!
