Color Dare #195 ~ Thistle, Pear, Crystal Blue, Lagoon and White Daisy

Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #195 we are challenging you to combine THISTLE, PEAR, CRYSTAL BLUE, LAGOON, and WHITE DAISY.

Color Dare 195_oI was needing to complete my project and I love this color combinations so I figured it would not be too difficult to decide what to create but to it was a bit challenging to narrow down what I wanted to create.  Then I got a phone call from my mom and she was having to put her dog down after 14 years together.  So I then knew I needed to design a sympathy card.

Color Dare 195 ~ Pet Sympathy ~ Calypso ~ Simon Says Stamp ~ PawPrints on our hearts ~ CatScrapbooking.comI realized I forgot to photograph the inside of the card which said Dogs leave pawprints on our heats and I added a few more hearts and pawprints.

For this card I used the following products:

  • Stamp Set ~ Pawprints on Our Hearts by Simon Says Stamp
  • Inks ~ Thistle, Pear, Lagoon and Crystal Blue
  • Cardstock ~ Crystal Blue, Lagoon, Pear, Thistle and White Daisy
  • Paper Pack ~ Calypso
  • Cricut ~ Envelope and Hearts

Now it is your turn to create! Just create a project (card, layout or other craft project) using this weeks colors.  Then link them to the Color My Heart Blog ~ Color Dare #195 or you can post them to the COLOR MY HEART FaceBook page.  For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday June 2, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.   We love to see your inspirations.

Technique Blog Hop ~ Let’s Interact

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop!

Let's Interact HopThis month we are featuring a Interactive type items!  What do we mean by interactive well there are moving parts that may pop up, move, or slide.   If you just hopped onto my blog or arrived from DANIELLE WAGNER’S Blog then you are in the right place.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork.

I decided to modify one of the cards on the Artfully Sent cartridge to make it more interactive.

Interative card ~ Birthday Wishes ~ Fox ~ Artfully Sent ~ CatScrapbooking.comI love this scene card and usually it would flip up and the fold is along the top.  I decided to modify it by making it a slide card.  I closed the left and bottom sides by using adhesive.  I made the insert care a bit smaller so it could slide out.

Interative card open ~ Birthday Wishes ~ Fox ~ Artfully Sent ~ CatScrapbooking.comI used whisper ink to darken the edges of the trees and then used a strip of whisper cardstock behind each tree.
