Father's day ~ Regatta layout ~ CatScrapbooking.comI realized after I had completed my layout that it happened to be a father’s day layout, too bad it was couldn’t have been for Mother’s day.  At least it met one of the requirements :-).  Father's Day Layout detail ~ Regatta ~ CatScrapbooking.comHere is a detail of the left page.  I used the Perfect Fit Dad C1542 to work as my tittle and accent.  I was also able to incorporate the Enchantment Fundamentals Stickers into the layout too. Welcome to this weeks Color My Heart Color Challenge!  This week for Color Dare #183 we are featuring  COTTON CANDY, SWEET LEAF, TOPIARY, GLACIER and WHITE DAISY.

Dolor Dare #185

I love the double stamp look and since Close to My Heart has quite a few I wanted to play around with one called Someone Special C1607.  These colors were perfect.

Zoe ~ Someone Special ~ Flowers ~ Color Dare 185n~ CatScrapbooking.com  I cut a frame from the Zoe hounds tooth paper. I used foam to pop it up like a Polaroid photo.  I stamped the flowers in Cotton Candy, the first stamp was second generation and the top was Cotton Candy.  I used Sweet Leaf and Topiary on the leaves but the Topiary is all that really showed.  I stamped the sentiment in White Daisy ink then added White embossing powder.

Featured Product Hop ~ Complements

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Featured Products Blog Hop. This week our featured product is Complements.  As you know for every paper pack there is a coordinating Complement pack.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop. If you came here from MELISSA ROBINSON’s Blog then you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

Penelope ~ Just Because ~ Chicks ~ CatScrapbooking.comI have been admiring the curtain fold cards I have been seeing and decided to give it a try.  I used Penelope paper pack and complements. If you are interested in trying the curtain fold there are many tutorial out there and I still need to play around with the size.  I started with a 3″ by 7 3/4″ strip.  I started by making a tick mark on the right side 1 1/4″ down from the top along the short side and at 2 3/4″ in along bottom left side.  Then trim at an angle connecting the two tick marks.  I then scored starting at the left at 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5″ and 6 1/8″.  This results in a 3″ by 3 3/4″ finished fold.
