I will be participating in my first Craft Fair next month so I have been busy working on items to sell. I was looking through my pins on Pinterest and found two things which inspired me. I found a card designed by Aaron Barron which combined Nevermore with the Paper Garden stamp set you can see it here. I also found a Book Box which looked intriguing so I decided to give it a try. Here is what I designed.
This is the cover and what the cards look like I used Eggplant as the base cardstock. On the cover I used four flowers where the cards only have two. I used a retired embellishment for the center of the flower.
When you open the cover, which I secured with hook and loops there is a pocket which holds four 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ cards and envelopes. Here is another view. I really love the way this card and box turned out. I actually designed a second one using a different stamp and paper, I will post it in a couple of days.
I thought I would share with you how to create this Book Style Card Box. You will need two pieces ~ a 8 1/2″ x 11″ and a 3 ” x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock. Starting with the 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of cardstock.ThenNow with the 3′ X 8 1/2″ score as follows. Then trim away these sections:Add adhesive to secure the two pieces to make the box I used Scor Tape. These are super easy to create and I believe will make great gifts and I hope sell well at the craft fair.
