Mother’s Day Flower

I was having so much fun with Lollydoodle paper pack, that I decided to go ahead and create a Mother’s Day gift.  I know it is a bit early but the past couple of years I seem to run behind.  I found this adorable flower design and knew it would be prefect with the Lollydoodle paper pack.

It is so cool that the butterfly comes off and it reveals a beautiful flower.

I used my Silhouette with the Lollydoodle paper pack, Pear and Cotton Candy cardstock.  I just purchase a little Easter grass to fill the planter.  What a fun creation!

Easter Pop-up Card

I am really loving the Lollydoodle paper pack.  It is so bright and colorful and perfect for spring.  Since I have been in a Easter crafting roll how about an adorable pop-up card?  What about two???

Now for the cards..

I am just so happy with the way these turned out, and they are so much fun to make.  I may even have to try a third using the third B&T paper in this pack so I have a complete trio.  Stay tuned as I may just have to do that 🙂

Lollydoodle Easter

I really can not believe Easter is just a little over three weeks away.   When I was looking through the paper packs, Lollydoodle just called out to me for an Easter layout.  I just love all the bright colors and fun patterns.  Here is what I came up with.

Easter Layout

I used my Silhouette to cut all the designs most I had to modify to fit my needs.  Here is a close up of the title.

I used this layout for my 2013 Easter photos.  I actually had more photos then the layout shows so I incorporated two flip flaps.  One is a 4×4 flip flap and the other is a 4×6 flip flap.  Unfortunately I have not mastered photographing layouts in the page protectors,  I cannot eliminate the glare.  I apologize for the not so great photos but you will get the idea.

ABC’s Blog Hop ~ F

ABC's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter “F”. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their “F” element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at LINDA’S Blog ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY

If you came from LINDA’S Blog ~ SCRAPPY THERAPY  then you’re on the right track!

For my “F” design element I chose a fire truck.  I am part of a moms club here in Spokane, so we try to organize activities for moms and our kids.  I organized a tour for our club at one of the local fire stations.  The fire fighters were so nice and patient with all the kids.  I wanted to send them a thank you card, so I designed this fire truck card.

ABC's Fire Station Thank you

For this project I used all Close to My Heart Cardstock and my Silhouette to cut the shapes.  I used Cranberry, Honey, Black, Sky, Whisper and Slate.  I used the Embossed Metal Badge Buttons from the Proplayer assortment.  To create the little sparkle for the siren I used the Ruby Shimmer Trim.  The clouds were stamped using the clouds from a retired stamp set Now Departing B1309.

Your next stop on our Everything ABC’S blog Hop is JOY MCHARGUE- STUDIOWOW.

In case you get lost along the way…go to Scrappy Therapy  for a complete list of participants!

Stamping Technique ~ Pencil Eraser

Wanting to learn a new technique?  Have you ever tried using pencil eraser to create your design?  Well let me show you.  It is a fun way to change things up and create new look.

There is the end result then I will walk you through the steps.

Pencil Eraser Card

So to crate this card start with a stencil.  I used my Silhouette to cut the shapes of the balloons.  Then using a bit of drafting tape (it is similar to masking but not as sticky so it lifts off the paper without tearing) adhere the stencil to the the paper.  Then using the eraser to apply apply the ink stamp the circles starting with the center balloon.

Then align the outer balloons so that a small edge of the first balloon is showing.  When the eraser and inking over the stencil the small edge will not be stamped.

Here are all three stencils and the final stamped image.

You can use this process for any design you wish to create.
