Malamute Cards

I am very involved with Alaskan Malamute rescue in my state, in fact I have been on the board now for five years.  One of my fellow board members is always coming up with great fundraising ideas.  When she saw the sympathy cards I designed for our organization her wheels were turning.  She asked me to create 100 cards that she would take to the Malamute Nationals in October.  So I have been a busy bee trying to make the 100 cards and  manage a now one year old.  I completed them yesterday.  Here are a couple of the the designs.

I designed these to emulate the show ribbons. Inside the card is stamped with “wishing you congratulations”.

You can see I tried to represent some of the variety of colors the malamute coat.

This design is a waterfall card. The squares are revealed as you pull down on the tab. The squares are a bone, bowl, “its a dog’s life” and then it says “woof it’s your birthday.”

I hope the cards are popular and works out to be a good fundraiser for the Malamute rescue.

Stamping Techniques

Ever wonder how to stamp three dimensional elements with stamps? Check our this great video as it shows you how easy it is to do with My Acrylix stamps.

Now that you see how easy it is don’t you want to give it a try. Just think of the possibilities you could crate using the My Creations recipe/photo box, card box or even the star.  I am sure ready to give it a try.

Birthday Party

My son just had his first birthday – where does the time go?  Since dogs have always been our kids, we thought it would be fun to have a puppy theme party. It was so much fun. I made the invitations, some of the decorations and the food.  For  food we had salsa with bone shaped tortillas, Chex Mix aka puppy chow, sugar cookies and cupcakes some with paw prints and some with Huskies. Here are a couple of photos of the invitations and some of the decorations.

Blog Hop September

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

We will be featuring artwork from the Avonlea paper pack and/or the Scholastic Paper Pack.

If you have come here from Kat Ramirez , then you are on the right path. Your next stop will be Denise Heiden.

Today I have created two items. The first is a frame using our new My Creations Frame – love this product! I used the Avonlea paper to cover the front and inked the edges in Chocolate. For accents I used my silhouette to cut two flourish circles in the Avonlea Teal and also used Chocolate, Olive and Slate cardstock. I also love the dark chocolate stripped grosgrain ribbon. The stamps used in the top center is from the Avonlea Scrapbook WOTG.

I also designed a two page layout using the Avonlea papers. The layout was based on pattern 06 from “Make if from your heart” Volume 1. In addition to using the Avonlea pattern papers, Chocolate, Olive, Slate, and Whisper cardstock were used. Everything was inked in Chocolate as well as all the stamping using the Avonlea Scrapbook WOTG stamp set and Chocolate Alphabet large stamp set. The other accents used was the dark chocolate striped grosgrain ribbon and chocolate buttons.

Now hop on over to Denise Heiden for your next stop
