About Me

My name is Catherine (Cat) Nowak and I am a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant, a full time mom to a wonderful little boy and wife to my best friend and husband of 15 years. Prior to becoming a mom I was a practicing veterinarian, I do hope to return to practicing but for now I am enjoying being a mom and consultant for Close to My Heart. I have always been creative and became addicted to scrapbooking over 13 years ago. I was actually scrapbooking as far back as 1988 but I did not know it was an actual hobby until 2002. Once I discovered all the fun techniques and tools I was hooked and there was no turning back.

We currently reside in Arvada, CO but it was while living in Spokane, WA in 2011 I was introduced to Close To My Heart and soon became a consultant as I was so impressed with their products. The quality and selection of papers, embellishments and the My Acrylix® stamps are quite remarkable. Crafting is my passion and is my mental therapy. I love making all kinds of paper crafts – cards, scrapbooking, home decor, etc. I also love teaching and sharing new techniques to friends both near and far. I enjoy sharing my work on line and holding workshops, creating page kits and designing custom cards for clients.
